OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, and Harvey Rutherford, Chief, Woodward Police Department, announced the arrest of Kenneth Hatchet, 51, of Ft. Supply, Oklahoma.

At approximately noon today, a white male wearing a mask, gloves and coveralls, and armed with a knife, entered the Central National Bank of Alva, 722 Main Street, Woodward, Oklahoma, and demanded money. The robber gathered the money and exited the bank on foot. He was last seen running east from the bank.

Officers of the Woodward Police Department observed a male matching the description of the robber changing clothes in an alley located approximately 1 ½ blocks east of the bank. Kenneth Hatchet was taken into custody without incident by officers of the Woodward Police Department. Hatchet faces Federal Bank Robbery charges.

The investigation is being conducted by the Woodward Police Department and the FBI.
