OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – Samuel J. Macaluso, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the general public is invited to the upcoming Oklahoma Members Alliance InfraGard Conference on Cybercrime and Information Security.

Topics presented will include transnational cyber threats and their concerted efforts to infiltrate our systems, four major vulnerabilities of the Internet, the dangers involved with downloading, and current trends in cyber crimes.

The conference will be hosted by the FBI and its InfraGard partners on October 1, 2008 at the Francis Tuttle Portland Campus located at 3500 Northwest 150 th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Registration will begin at Francis Tuttle at 8:00 a.m. the morning of the conference. The conference will feature several visiting speakers including Jason E. Street, FBI Special Agent Matt Harper, Tim Elrod, Stefan Morris and Kent Nabors, who will present relevant topics focused on various aspects of Cybercrime and Information Security.

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members in the state of Oklahoma. InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector, which includes an association of business, academia, state and local law enforcement and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Offices throughout the United States.

Presentations will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. Please register for the conference via Email at register@issa-okc.org.
