OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA - Michael B. Ward, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, and William Citty, Chief, Oklahoma City Police Department, announced the arrest of Ricky Wallace Angleton, 50, of Allen, Texas, related to the March 19, 2007 robbery of Chase Bank, 12324 N. May, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On March 19, 2007, a white male entered Chase Bank, 12324 N. May, and provided the teller a demand note. The individual fled in a tan or gold colored Lexus. Yesterday afternoon, a person believed to be the same individual entered the same Chase Bank branch as well as BancFirst, 11001 N. May, but left without conducting a transaction.

Today at approximately 4:56 p.m., the same person believed to have conducted the March 19 robbery entered the same Chase Bank branch, but again left without conducting a transaction. An undercover Oklahoma City Police unit conducting surveillance noticed the individual exit the bank and leave in a gold or tan colored Lexus. They followed the vehicle and alerted Oklahoma City Police marked units.

A car chase ensued and an Oklahoma City Police marked unit was able to conduct a maneuver to safely end the car chase on NW 178th between Penn and May. Ricky Wallace Angleton was taken into custody by Oklahoma City Police Department. He faces Federal Bank Robbery charges.
The investigation is being conducted by the Oklahoma City Police Department and the FBI.
