OKLAHOMA
CITY, OKLAHOMA – Michael B. Ward, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the arrest of Robert David Mielnicki,
Jr., 24, of Ft. Worth, Texas, related to the March 2, 2007, robbery of MTC
Federal Credit Union, 2001 12th Ave. NW, Ardmore, Oklahoma.
On March 2, 2007, a suspicious individual was seen inside two banks in Norman.
A bank employee was able to document the Texas tag of the truck the individual
was inside. Later that afternoon, the MTC Federal Credit Union in Ardmore
was robbed by an individual matching the description of the person acting
suspicious inside the Norman banks.
The investigation determined the robber to be Robert David Mielnicki, Jr.,
a resident of Ft. Worth, Texas. On March 23, Mielnicki was charged per a Criminal
Complaint in the Eastern District of Oklahoma for Federal Bank Robbery.
Mielnicki was arrested without incident at approximately 2:00 p.m. today by
FBI Agents in Ft. Worth, Texas.
