OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – Michael B. Ward, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of Bank of the West, 5401 NW 23 rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 4:55 p.m. this afternoon, a lone white male entered the Bank of the West and advised he had a bomb strapped on his person. He gathered the money in a black notebook and exited the bank. The robber was last seen traveling north on Ditmer Street in a blue Chrysler

The robber was described as a white male, 5’9” to 5’10”, 150 lbs., 28 years-old, wearing a zippered plaid jacket with a cloth hood, a ball cap with a straw bill and facing, dark hair and a few days of facial hair growth.

The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and Oklahoma City Police Department.

The same individual is believed responsible for the 03/06/2007 robbery of Bank of the West, 5757 NW Expressway, Warr Acres, 02/06/2007 robbery of Bank of the West, 5603 N. Penn, Oklahoma City, and the 07/31/2006 robbery of Weokie Credit Union, 7600 S. Penn, Oklahoma City.
