ENID WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO BANK EMBEZZLEMENT

  Oklahoma City, Oklahoma —LINDA A REMINGTON, 48, of Enid, Oklahoma, pled guilty to embezzlement by a bank employee, announced United States Attorney John C. Richter.

Remington, who was employed by the Citizens National Bank of Enid, Oklahoma, between 2000 and June 2008, agreed in plea papers that she embezzled over $120,000.

Remington was released on bond pending sentencing. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled by the Court in approximately 90 days. Remington faces up to 30 years in prison, a $1 million fine and restitution.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sanford C. Coats.
