Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - John C. Richter, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, announced that a federal grand jury has returned an indictment against IRISH LEVON WOODS (aka “Ivo”), 22, of Oklahoma City, for sex trafficking of a minor. According to the indictment, in January of 2008 Woods transported an individual under 18 years old from Oklahoma City to Amarillo, Texas with the intent to engage in prostitution.
If convicted, Woods faces no less than 10 years and up to life in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
The case is the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma City Police Department. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sanford C. Coats. The public is reminded that the indictment is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
