OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – Michael B. Ward, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, and Ronnie Smith, Chief, Lawton Police Department, announced the arrest of Markeith Demond Tucker, 24, of Lawton, Oklahoma, related to the robbery of Arvest Bank in Lawton. 

On August 20, 2007, Arvest Bank, 2622 W. Gore Blvd, Lawton, Oklahoma, was robbed by a black male.  He allegedly raised his shirt to display a weapon and demanded money.  The robber fled in an unknown direction. Based on information provided to Crimestoppers in Lawton, Lawton Police Department was able to determine Markeith Demond Tucker, was the bank robber.

Last night at approximately 7:30 p.m., Tucker was arrested without incident by the Elk City Police Department and the FBI in Elk City, Oklahoma.  Tucker is expected to be charged with Federal Bank Robbery today.

The investigation is being conducted by the Lawton Police Department and the FBI.
